Documents required :

When you return the Application Forms in person or by post, please bring with you or attach:
copy of birth certificate or other documents of identity of your child (e.g. Hong Kong Birth Certificate, Passport), copy of record of vaccination and two recent photographs of your child.

「Application for the “2022/23 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission」：

  1. Under the Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme (the Scheme), a child eligible to receiving education in Hong Kong will be issued a registration document and all Scheme kindergartens can only admit students holding a valid registration document; and
  2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “RC”) to the Education Bureau (EDB) from September to November 2021.
  • The “RC” will be open for applications in September 2021 and EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto EDB’s website (www.edb.gov.hk) in due course.
  • Upon receipt of the applications with all necessary information and documents provided, EDB will generally take six to eight weeks to complete processing of the applications and issue the “RC” to applicants who are eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme by post.
  • A child may be eligible for receiving education in Hong Kong but may not be eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme [1], he/she would not receive a “RC”. EDB will then issue a “Kindergarten Admission Pass” (hereafter referred to as “AP”) to the student concerned for registration and admission to a Scheme-kindergarten but the parents concerned are required to pay full school fees before deduction of subsidy under the Scheme as shown on the Fees Certificate of the kindergarten to which the child is admitted.

[1] Upon obtaining permission from the Director of Immigration, non-local children (such as children holding a form of recognizance, children whose parent(s) is/are holding a student visa, etc.) can receive education in Hong Kong but they are not eligible for subsidy under the Scheme.

Admission Criteria：

  1. Performance observed during interview; and
  2. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the Kindergarten will be given due priority

Interview Arrangements：

  1. The Kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants;
  2. Interviews will be conducted on Saturday, 13 November 2021;
  3. Individual interviews will be arranged; and
  4. Parents should accompany their child for the interview
  5. (for non-Chinese speaking families) Preferably you are accompanied by a Chinese speaking person and in case of difficulty in arranging it, non-government organisations (NGOs) such as the “Hong Kong Christian Service” would help.

Announcement of Admission Results：

We will inform parents of the K1 admission results on or before Saturday, 11 December 2021.

Registration Arrangements：

  1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their children from 6 to 8 January 2022 (“Centralised Registration Dates”) by submitting the “RC”/ “AP” to the Kindergarten and paying the registration fee;

  2. Applicants on the waiting list: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original “RC”/ “AP” to the Kindergarten and pay the registration fee;

  3. Parents are reminded to submit application for the relevant Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period, otherwise they might not receive the “RC”/ “AP” in time for registration. Without “RC”/ “AP” the Kindergarten may not be able to complete registration; and

  4. The registration fee for 2022/23 K1 place is HK$970 (AM classes) / HK$1,570 (whole day classes). The registration fee is refundable provided that the child enrolls and remains as a pupil with the Kindergarten. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the Kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “RC”/ “AP” as soon as possible but the registration fee will not be refunded. The Kindergarten reserves the right not to admit a child withdrawn from the Kindergarten.
